Experience

Jacqui is a Senior Associate at Extent Heritage and is a registered architect with over 15 years of experience in heritage building conservation and assessment, adaptive reuse, conservation management plans and master planning of complex heritage sites. Providing architectural heritage advice to identify important built elements for protection and prioritising building fabric conservation works according to the principles of the Burra Charter are a key specialty.

Jacqueline has experience in many facets of the heritage industry including architectural materials conservation; built heritage conservation and maintenance planning; condition assessment; heritage impact and planning control assessments; and heritage development advice. She is highly experienced with preparing adaptive design, building construction advice and conservation specifications for both local and State heritage listed structures. Environmentally sustainable design has also been a focus particularly in context with heritage places

Jacqueline has been involved in mulitple award-winning projects including Conservation Management Plans for the Ipswich Historic Cemeteries, stone conservation works to Ipswich’s St Mary’s Church, the design and documentation of Queen’s Park Environmental Education Centre; and the conservation of Rhossilli house in Ipswich.

This experience has allowed Jacqueline to manage heritage projects with a rational and pragmatic understanding of the opportunities and constraints involved in achieving innovative and sympathetic heritage outcomes. She is passionate about negotiating the space of urban development and heritage conservation.
