Shane has over fifteen years of experience in cultural heritage and archaeology in both Europe and Australia, working on a wide range of Historical and Indigenous archaeological sites. He has worked extensively in New South Wales, Western Australia and Victoria on a large number of archaeological projects and has extensive experience and knowledge of archaeological practices, procedures and legislation with a focus on directing large-scale multi-phase and complex archaeological sites.
For the past several years Shane has worked as a project manager and director on some of the most significant historical archaeological sites in Melbourne and Victoria, including high profile projects such as the Carlton and United Brewery Residential Precinct excavations and the Ziebels Historic Homestead archaeological investigation. He also has a keen interest in anthropological and archaeological documentary film-making.
