Senior Heritage Advisor
Tony Brassil is an expert in Australia’s industrial heritage and has been a professional consultant in this field for more than twenty-five years, undertaking projects both individually and as a team member in all states of Australia, the External Territories (Christmas Island and Cocos Island) and internationally (Brunei).
He has been a member of the Trust’s Industrial Heritage Committee for many years and has recently served as the Industrial Heritage Specialist (part-time) for the National Trust of Australia (NSW). Tony was responsible for the compilation of the first state-wide register of historic industrial sites for the Australian Heritage Commission and was a specialist consultant with Godden Mackay Logan, Heritage Consultants, for over twenty years, the last eight as an Associate at that firm.
He undertakes research, assessment and conservation advice on industrial heritage places as diverse as wharves, power stations, railways, bridges, hydraulic power systems, and water supply systems—specialising in significance and heritage impact assessments and conservation management plans for all types of industrial sites of significance.
